Desktop Virtualization – A review of multiple applications for virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI), critical feature set and road map to success including;
An overview of the difference between application and OS desktop virtualization
Client device choices fat (PC/desktops), thin (Wyse like devices) and zero (Pano Logic)
Recent enhancements on VDI issues such as USB devices support, printing and connectivity protocols
“Purpose built” server platforms offerings for VDI contrasting them against traditional rack unit or blade server platforms
Storage and Network bandwidth considerations
Developing a “Road Map” for a successful VDI experience
